PRAYER TO THE ALMIGHTY The love of God, How rich, how pure. He sent His Son to die for us. His Son, Our Savior, Willingly desired, To do the will of His dear Father, He loved us, He cared for us, He never thought of the price, He paid dearly just for us, ‘Cause He loved us, So much You were trampled like a rose to the ground, With its fragrance still lingering the air. Like a mother who sacrificed her all, To save the life of her one, dear son. Oh! We have heard that sin brings death, But never thought someone else would pay, A person who never sinned through tempted, Would be The Lamb to be slain. Ah! That love that still brings tears to these sunken eyes, And that softens this old, hardened heart, Still seeks and calls for all who hear, ‘Come, I have paid it all, Come abide in My Love.’ Oh, Lord, today, I heed that voice That voice so tender and sweet Lord, I pray forgive our transgressions, For we are nothing but a grass that withers within a day, A passing wind that fails to return once it’s due its course. Give us strength, dear Father, to take each day one day at a time. Abba Father God, I surrender my body, soul, mind, my all to thee. I thank thee, Lord of creation, for all things bright and beautiful, all creatures great and small. Amen. - Sandy Mathews ______________________________________________________________
